There have been a lot of rumors about Kailyn Lowry and Elijah Scott as of late.
Is Kailyn hiding a child? Did she break up with Elijah? Both? We don’t know, and she hasn’t said anything about it.
It’s not a secret that Kail has been having trouble with her mental health. Depression in particular.
In a new post, she talks about her severe depression and the steps she is taking to take care of her mental health.
“Prioritize your mental health,” Kailyn Lowry captioned an Instagram Reel video.
“Because if it [weren’t] for @kcorreia23 & @natalie_a_k,” she grimly acknowledged, “I don’t know if I would be here.”
Kail added: “They saw the signs, they were there in my dark.” She also included the tag “Lexaprogirly.” Lexapro is, of course, a prescription antidepressant.
That seems to be a clear reference to thinking about killing oneself. That is dangerous, and Kail’s life could have been in danger.
Not all depression is life-threatening right away. But suicidal depression can end people’s lives. Sometimes, there are no outside signs.
It’s great that Kail’s friends saw the warning signs and helped her to help herself. Kailyn loves and is missed by her friends, family, fans, and at least four children. Even if you don’t have anyone to love, life is still worth living for yourself.
As for what was on the Reel, most of it was a collection of pictures from the trip to Thailand.
It started with a simple message: “POV: After a year of severe depression, your first flight is to Thailand.”
Since Kailyn is in the photos, this wasn’t really a “POV” video. But kids on TikTok use “POV” to basically say what a video or scenario is about. We can’t figure out why. Most of TikTok is just a confusing mess of algorithms.
We are so happy about two things about this Reel, its caption, and what it says about the Teen Mom alum as a whole.
First of all, it’s good to know that Kailyn is still alive and well.
We don’t always like the choices she makes. In fact, some of the things she does are very upsetting to her fans, especially when they hurt other people. That doesn’t mean that if something bad happened to her, we wouldn’t be very sad.
The second really important thing about this is that Kail isn’t pretending that she gained her footing in her depression battle just by going to the beach.
Believe it or not, there are still some hellclowns in this world that will try to suggest that “going for a walk” is a magical cure for depression. It isn’t. Neither is yoga or a trip to a park. They can help (sometimes), but sometimes these activities are expressions of mental health rather than causes of it.
Instead, Kailyn acknowledged that this is her trip after her depression battle. And she noted that she is, in fact, on antidepressants.
