The official trailer for Netflix’s forthcoming comic horror series “Wednesday” debuted at New York Comic-Con, where comedian Fred Armisen was introduced as the bald and incredibly pale Uncle Fester.

Further video revealed Christina Ricci’s role in the series, which has been kept under wraps since its announcement in March. Ricci portrayed Wednesday’s Addams in both of Barry Sonnenfeld’s Addams family films, “The Addams Family” (1991) and “Addams Family Values” (1993). Ricci is a teacher at Nevermore Academy, where Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) has enrolled as a student and will refine her psychic skills in “Wednesday.”

In the new teaser, Wednesday is pleasantly pleased when a threatening figure reveals himself to be her Uncle Fester, and the two ride off in a Dalmatian-patterned motorcycle in a sidecar. There was also online speculation that Tim Burton-regular Johnny Depp might be playing a role in the Netflix series, which would’ve marked his first significant acting role since his defamation trial against Amber Heard.

Other previously revealed cast members include Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Gwendoline Christie as Principal Larissa Weems, and others. Percy Hynes White portrays Xavier Thorpe, Hunter Doohan portrays Tyler Galpin, Emma Myers portrays Enid Sinclair, Joy Sunday portrays Bianca Barclay, Naomi J Ogawa portrays Yoko Tanaka, Moosa Mostafa portrays Eugene Ottinger, Georgie Farmer portrays Ajax Petropolus, Riki Lindhome portrays Dr. Valerie Kinbott, and Ricci portrays Marilyn Thornhill.

Miles Millar and Al Gough serve as showrunners and executive producers, while eclectic director Tim Burton helms the series for four episodes in addition to executive producing.

Additional executive producers include Steve Stark and Andrew Mittman for 1.21 Entertainment, Kevin Miserocchi for the Tee and Charles Addams Foundation, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman for Glickmania, Gail Berman, Tommy Harper and Kevin Lafferty.

The series is set to premiere Nov. 23 on the streamer. Check out the trailer below.
