Britney Spears has stated that she has no plans to perform again: “I’m basically scarred for life.”

Britney Spears is still recuperating in her own way from her decade-long conservatorship, which has ruffled the feathers of her parents, siblings, ex-husband, and children. But the self-described “strange introvert oddball” has always followed her own drummer, and if you don’t like it, you can “kiss my God damn mother fucking ass.”

Regrettably for her supporters, respecting the freshly emancipated Spears entails recognising that she will almost certainly never perform again. There’s a lot to comprehend about her conservatorship experience, but in a recent Instagram post on her career, she said, “I will be honest at the beginning 13 years of conservatorship like 8 vids I only like one—Work Bitch…the most obnoxious SO CALLED professional photographs on every tour.” I mean, they could have cheated and edited them for me…just saying…2 day shoots for new show in Vegas literally the worst ever…and me waiting for images for 5 months on tour…they never showed me any….

I’d rather quit shit in my pool and shoot photos of myself in studios over working with the most offensive people in my life,” Spears shared in the since-deleted post (via UPROXX). “I’m pretty traumatized for life and yes I’m pissed as fuck and no I won’t probably perform again just because I’m stubborn and I will make my point.”

Spears recently released her first new song in years, “Hold Me Closer,” a collaboration with Elton John, although she has long warned that her pop star days may be over. During her struggle for freedom, Spears told her lawyer that she would not perform again as long as her father, Jamie Spears, had control over her career.
