Hilary Swank has said that she is expecting twins.

“Million Dollar Baby” star Hilary Swank is about to have some babies of her own.

On Wednesday, the 48-year-old actress confirmed on “Good Morning America” that she will be a mother – “not just of one, but of two.”

“I’m so excited to share it with you and America right now,” Swank remarked, grinning. “This is something I’ve wanted for a long time… It’s so nice to talk about it and share it.”

The Oscar winner is expecting twins with social venture entrepreneur Philip Schneider, whom she married in Carmel, California, in 2018. Swank’s pregnancy announcement occurred at the end of her “GMA” interview promoting her new ABC show, “Alaska Daily.”

The journalistic drama, written by Oscar-winning “Spotlight” screenwriter Tom McCarthy, portrays Swank as a seasoned investigative reporter who relocates her job from New York to Alaska after suffering a professional setback.

Swank later told Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa of “Live With Kelly and Ryan” that the cast and crew of “Alaska Daily” did not know she was pregnant until her Wednesday revelation on national television, according to People magazine.

Swank remembered that during the series’ filming, she had to cut her jeans open because they no longer fit her and put on a jacket over her costume.

“They came in and said, ‘That isn’t in continuity,'” she explained. “‘Oh, I guess it works,’ I said. ‘No, it does.’ ‘No, it does.’ I’ll figure something out.’ ‘If you’re an executive producer, you can do anything, but this is bizarre,’ she says.”

Health-wise, Swank said she’s “feeling good right now” despite experiencing jet lag when switching from Pacific to Eastern Time.

“It’s such a blessing,” she said of her pregnancy. “It’s a total miracle.”

“Alaska Daily” premieres Thursday at 7 p.m. Pacific on ABC.
