Mega Millions winning numbers August 4, 2023: No winner; Jackpot soars to $1.55 billion - ABC7 New York

(WABC) — NEW YORK On Tuesday, the next Mega Millions drawing will be close to the record jackpot!

No ticket had all six of Friday night’s numbers.

The numbers that won on Friday were 45, 30, 52, 56, 11, and 20 for the Mega Ball.

But don’t throw away your tickets just yet. In Commack, a ticket worth $1 million was sold.

The jackpot is expected to be $1.55 billion ($757.2 million in cash).

Since April, when the last person won the jackpot, there have been 31 straight drawings.

It’s hard to win the jackpot because the odds of matching the numbers on five white balls and a separate mega ball are 1 in 302.6 million. The odds of winning smaller prizes, which start at $2, are better.

On August 4, there were 5,331,114 winning tickets, no matter how much they won. The second-best prize was won by nine tickets that matched the five white balls. Two tickets cost $2 million each because they came with the optional Megaplier, which was 2X for this drawing. These tickets were sold in Michigan and Tennessee.

Tennessee sold another Match 5 ticket, winning the standard second-tier prize of $1 million. Six other tickets, one each from Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Oklahoma, and Texas, also win $1 million.

Tuesday and Friday nights at 10:59 p.m., you can go to abc7NY.com/lottery to watch the Mega Millions drawings.
