It’s no surprise that Queen Elizabeth II’s death has altered the dynamics of the royal family. But it’s evident that we’ve only scratched the surface of what’s to come between the remaining royals, as Meghan Markle reportedly made an intriguing request of King Charles III (via Express). According to a “very good source,” Meghan sent a formal letter to the new king requesting that the two of them sit down for a one-on-one meeting before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex return to their home in California. While there is no way of knowing what Meghan will say with King Charles III or whether he would accept the invitation, it does raise the question of whether Meghan and Harry intend to alter their relationship with the other royals.

Neil Sean, a royal family expert, stated on his YouTube channel, “What’s remarkable here is that this was done in a formal letter, according to that reliable source. This is how you write to the king through his equity, which is then passed on, and so on.” “It would be an opportunity to clear the air, separate the rights from the wrongs, and explain some of the rationale behind what they’ve been doing over the previous two years,” he continued. Time will tell what happens at the summit, but one can only hope that this significant end to the British monarchy inspires some fresh beginnings.
