Swifties, get together!
Swift has been providing fans behind-the-scenes access to her tenth studio album, “Midnights,” ahead of its release.
In the newest round of “Midnights” disclosures, she disclosed the title of the third tune on the album, “Anti-Hero,” in an Instagram post.
Although Swift is a role model for many, she has stated that she does not always see that attitude reflected in herself — and that is what “Anti-Hero” is about.
“I don’t think I’ve ever dived this far into my fears before,” Swift stated in the Instagram video.
Swift is no stranger to being open with her fans about her challenges, which include compulsive eating and sadness and loss. “Anti-Hero” will be a “guided tour” through all of her fears, she says.
“I battle a lot with the thought that my life has gotten unmanageably large, and I fight with the idea of not feeling like a person. This song takes me on a tour of all the things I dislike about myself “She stated.
Apart from the third track, ‘Anti-Hero,’ what we know so far about ‘Midnights’
In case you missed it, our cryptic pop queen has been disclosing track names for “Midnights” since September 21, just one month before the album’s Oct. 21 release date.
Swift sits coyly in a room with a brown velvet backdrop and a bingo wheel with 13 balls numbered 1 through 13 in her TikTok series, “Midnights Mayhem with Me.”
Swift draws one ball at a time and announces the track name in accordance to the number in each video. “I’m leaving the track numbers up to fate,” she says in the first instalment of the series.
So far, she’s announced the following track names from “Midnights”:
“Maroon” is the second colour.
“Midnight Rain” (No. 6)
“Vigilante Sh-t” is number eight.
Swift stressed in Episode 1 that the series is not meant to “deny” that she is cryptic, but “defy” that by sharing information. Of course, fans are still theorizing if there are any easter eggs or hidden messages within these videos.
And who can blame them after Miss Swift launched not one, but two surprise albums (“Folklore” and “Evermore”) in a matter of months?
For example, in the six episodes she has posted so far, she announces the track name while holding a red telephone. In some videos, the phone is upside down, but in others, it is right side up.
“UPSIDE DOWN TELEPHONE AGAIN!???” said one user.
“WHAT DOES THE UPSIDE TELEPHONE MEANNNNN
Gather ’round, Swifties!

Although Swift herself may be a role model for many, she said that she doesn’t necessarily see that same sentiment reflected in herself — and that’s what “Anti-Hero” is about.
“I don’t think I’ve really delved this far into my insecurities in this detail before,” Swift said in the Instagram video.
Swift is no stranger to being transparent with fans about her struggles, including disordered eating and feelings of grief and loss. She said that “Anti-Hero” will be a “guided tour” through all of those insecurities.
“I struggle a lot with the idea that my life has become unmanageably sized and not to sound too dark, but I struggle with the idea of not feeling like a person. This song is a real guided tour throughout all the things I tend to hate about myself,” she said.
