Over the weekend, a concertgoer threw a drink at Cardi B in the middle of her set, so she threw a microphone at the person.

On Saturday, things were thrown at the Grammy winner while he was playing outside at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas. He is the latest musician to have things thrown at them while they are playing.

Cardi was wearing an orange dress and looking surprised when a drink was thrown at her while singing her hit song “Bodak Yellow.” The video of the incident has since gone viral.

In response, Cardi threw her microphone at the person in the front row, who seemed to be led away by security.

After the incident, the rapper retweeted a different video angle of the microphone throw, which shows more clearly that the fan was trying to empty their cup at Cardi. After the mic throw, Cardi reportedly kept performing.

The night before, a TikTok said that Cardi threw her mic at a DJ at Drai’s Beachclub, who seemed to be cutting off her songs early during another performance.

Cardi’s rep didn’t answer PEOPLE’s request for comment right away.

This isn’t the first time that things have been thrown at artists during concerts this year.

During his Love on Tour show in Vienna this month, a fan hit Harry Styles in the eye with a flying object. As he walked off stage, he stooped down to the ground. After getting hit, Styles, wearing a green sequined outfit, quickly put his hand over his face, crouched down, and then kept walking up a flight of stairs.

That happened after other stars, like Bebe Rexha, Drake, Kelsea Ballerini, Steve Lacy, Kid Cudi, and Pink, had things thrown at them or toward them while performing.

In June, while Rexha was performing in New York City, a fan threw his phone at the star in the middle of a song, hitting her in the face. Because of this, the singer of “I’m Good (Blue)” was knocked to the ground, and the phone broke her eyebrow, so she had to get stitches.

Since then, the New York District Attorney’s Office has told PEOPLE that the person was arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree assault, second-degree aggravated harassment, third-degree attempted assault, and second-degree harassment. He told police he was “trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the show’s end because he thought it would be funny.”

In a statement to PEOPLE at the time, his lawyer, Todd Spodek, said that he “was hoping to interact in some way with Ms. Rexha as soon as the phone was returned” and that it was “never his intention to hurt Ms. Rexha in any way.”

Ballerini, who is 29, was recently hit in the face by an object during a show in Boise, Idaho. Pink also reacted when a fan threw a bag containing their dead mother’s ashes on her stage.

Adele even stopped her Weekends with Adele show at The Colosseum in Las Vegas earlier this month to discuss the latest safety concerns at concerts.

“Have you noticed people forget how to behave at an f—-ing show? People are throwing garbage onto the stage. What do you think?” According to a fan-shot video, the 35-year-old “Hello” singer asked, “If—-ing dare you—I dare you to throw something at me. I’ll kill the f—- out of you.”
