In this week’s episode of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, Mary’s grandparents gave her and Brandan some rules before he came to live with them.
Two of these rules were broken right away by the two adults at the airport. They were right to do so.
But some 90 Day spoilers from before made fans wonder if Mary and Brandan broke even more rules.
Is Mary really already with the child?
On the third episode of Season 5 of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, Mary Rosa and Brandan De Nuccio got back together.
Don’t forget that she broke up with him while he was flying to the Philippines. Why? Because the airline gave him a seat next to a woman.
Yes, there is a reason why they are the most talked-about couple this season. Obviously, this season’s episodes are airing on Monday nights instead of Sundays, which is confusing some viewers and hurting ratings.
After Mary’s crazy fights with Brandan were deemed “normal” by her grandparents, they told her about his upcoming move.
They told her not to go to bed with him.
No one can tell her what to do with her own body, of course. But you could just see this as a discussion of how Catholics feel about sexual activity outside of marriage. Mary is a very religious Catholic.
Then things became even stranger.
Dionisio, Mary’s grandfather, and Lucia, her grandmother, told her, “Before he can hug you or hold your hand, he needs to ask us first.”
Oh, and you can’t kiss either. That is not a nuanced discussion about what their religion teaches them Catholics. That’s a whole different thing.
Mary promised her crazy grandparents that she would tell Brandan about what they wanted.
(We’ve talked a lot about the difference between moral differences and cultural differences, like what to wear, what to eat, and what language to speak. No matter the culture, there is never a reason to try to control someone else’s body.
She told the confessional camera, though, that she wasn’t going to tell him right away. Because she wanted it to feel “natural” when they met for the first time.
Brandan and Mary gave each other a quick hug. After years of a strange relationship based on surveillance, they were finally meeting for the first time.
They made out. Mary actually told him to take her mask off.
Her brother told the camera that he pretty much got what was going on. After all, this is their big moment.
(Not every season is just around the corner, of course. During a certain time of year in Jordan, the man, and woman pretended they had never had sex to keep his family from punishing him.
We know, though, that they got married. Brandan’s mother, Angela Stiggins, put the photos on Facebook at the time.
They wrote, “Angie and Brandan are my cousins, and I can’t wait to see how this affects Mary.”
Cubie said, “They are still together, and they are having a baby.” “Mary is, in fact, a very nice person.”
Of course, that could be part of a contract. Fans have been fooled by cast members before.
And other social media posts show that Brandan’s mom and Cubie talk back and forth. So it looks like there are family ties, even though Brandan (smartly) won’t confirm them.
That’s not evidence. But it is proof, just like Cubie’s claims. As is Brandan’s mom’s recent post on social media about looking forward to her future grandchild (though that wouldn’t necessarily be Brandan and Mary’s, right?)
There’s a good chance that Mary is with the child. We don’t know if she and Brandan chose to follow Catholic teachings about getting pregnant. No matter what, that’s their choice.
