Amy and Anna Duggar saw each other again late last week.
By chance.
The niece of Jim Bob, who has been openly critical of her uncle and most of her other relatives for years, told her TikTok followers on August 4 that she had “news” for them.
She then spilled some tea from the Duggar family…

“We saw Anna,” Amy said in a video with her mother, Deanna Jordan, explaining more:
“I was hugging the mother of my friend, and when I looked up, Anna was just a few inches away from me.”
Where did this chance meeting happen?
Amy and Deanna, who is Jim Bob Duggar’s older sister, had been to the funeral visitation for a family friend who had died earlier that day… Anna also seemed to be there to pay her respects.

Deanna said, “Oh my God, she looked so angry,” and Amy said that Josh Duggar’s wife “looked so mad at the world” at the memorial.
“She’s obviously right in front of me, so I say “Oh” and am completely shocked to see her face after so many years.
“I said, ‘Anna,’ and I patted her back. She said, ‘Just give me space,'” I gave her some space, didn’t make a big deal out of it, and left.”

This is the deal:
Amy has said many times that she has tried to reach out to Anna and told her to leave her husband, who is in jail for 12 years for molesting children.
Amy does seem to want what is best for Anna.
But did this one go a little too far? Did she really need to tell everyone that Anna was supposedly angry after they met at a private and emotional event?

Amy also wasn’t done.
She then thought that Anna, who got married to Josh in 2008 and had seven children with the known child molester, “knows that I’ve been talking about her” and “how I’ve been trying to reach her.”
Deanna went on to say that she didn’t even try to hug Anna because she believed Anna when she said she needed space.
“She must know that I’m saying, ‘Anna, you don’t have to go through this alone. We’re here for you, and we’ll keep your kids safe,'” Amy said on TikTok.
“But she told you all tonight that she doesn’t want our help, doesn’t care about our help, and will do whatever Anna does.”

In Amazon’s Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets documentary, which came out this summer, Amy and her mom talked about their family and the church they go to.
The TV special even talked about Josh’s multiple scandals involving sexual misconduct and how Jim Bob is said to have covered up his crimes.
“Well, I guess it all comes down to this, right?
Amy also said about her uncle in a June TikTok video, “If you’re not going to protect those beautiful daughters from a predator who was living in your home and you knew about it, and you’re going to sweep it under the rug and your mentality is kind of just to brush it off and hide it and lie, not only do I not respect you anymore, but I also don’t want to give you a right to get to know my child.”
“Just think about how the abuse was covered up and how, when Jim Bob was called to the stand, he said, “Oh judge, I don’t remember.” You don’t remember that your daughters were hurt? You don’t remember? So, for me, I have to keep you away from my son.
“Because there’s something wrong here. There are a lot of screws missing.”

In the meantime, if you go back to May 2022, this is what Amy said on Instagram:
“Anna, I know how you feel. No woman would want to be you. You have to make a hard choice, and the people around you aren’t the right kind of help.
“Ever since you were a child, you’ve been told that marriage is for life, and you’ve asked God to send you a partner. With him, you’ve built a life and a family.
“You didn’t pick any of this, and neither did your kids.”
