We knew trouble was coming when the cast of Season 14 of The Real Housewives of New York City went to the Hamptons for the first time last week.
We were right, too.
Jenna Lyons left during the night. She even tried to sneak away. She planned to get back without anyone noticing in the morning.
So, they did notice. And that was just one of many rude things said about Erin Lichy, who was their mostly kind host.
As The Real Housewives of New York City Season 14 Episode 3 started, it was morning in the Hamptons.
Jessel Taank and Ubah Hassan came to see Erin Lichy, who was such a nice host.
In this dark, neutral time of home decor, Ubah was a tall splash of bright colors. They talked about the surprise from last night.
In the evening, the women laughed, danced, and played music to have fun.
The music seemed to be a bit loud.
Jenna Lyons had already gone to bed, even though it was only about 10:30 p.m. She couldn’t sleep, so she tried to get away in the middle of the night.
“I have a call at 6:30,” she said. Honestly? I would have been in bed hours before you, so I can see why you want to sleep.
But Erin was hurt by it. Even though Erin had given Jenna the best room for guests. Jenna’s house in the Hamptons was only 10 minutes away, but it seemed rude.
She quickly said something about the cold. It sounds like the heat pump broke, which made the upstairs pretty cold. (For me, that sounds like a dream. (Perhaps not everyone)
Jessel made fun of the lingerie she gave her as a gift, complained about how cold it was, and said that Jenna might have left because her house in the Hamptons has a view of the ocean.
Sai, on the other hand, was in a very different mood after she sort of crashed into the room.
She said that some people have bad feelings when they wake up.
Erin needed some good vibes, and Sai gave her that. She just became a Housewife and has never hosted anything like this before. She was very brave to go first.
Everyone was curious about why he just up and left. She had even tried to sneak out.
Erin said she put off making shakshuka for Jenna, but Jenna didn’t even stay around when they might have eaten breakfast.
Even though Jenna’s leaving was a bit rude, she did make some good points.
One that she had a call very early in the morning. She couldn’t get away from the music while she tried to sleep. You have to make a choice sometimes. And sometimes that means work comes first.
Second, Jenna told them that they are all adults. Erin could have made any kind of breakfast she wanted.
All of the cast members on RHONY 14 are new. No one is already well-known.
But you should remember that line. I’m also kind of hungry for Shakshuka. I agree with Jenna, though, that I would die if I ate it before working out.
David is really hot, people.
As they did resistance exercises in Erin’s backyard, no one tried to hide their desire for David.
But in the morning, she was there. She didn’t get the royal welcome she had hoped for.
Instead, Ubah made fun of her fur coat outfit in front of the confessional camera. She didn’t think it looked like it came from the Hamptons.
It wasn’t love at first sight in this case. David and Brynn have worked out together before, and Brynn’s antics made Ubah look very calm.
Jenna made fun of Brynn’s flirtatious ways, but she also said that she could probably learn something from her.
While the other women went to the bathroom at breakfast, Brynn talked about Brynn and Jenna and brought up Erin’s different standards for them.
Erin is upset if Brynn doesn’t show up to a restaurant. But if Jenna just leaves her home, she doesn’t take it with her.
When the woman came back, she talked to her about it. Erin made it clear that she has nothing against Brynn. But she did say that she liked Jenna better.
Brynn Whitfield laughs as other cast members repeat what Jessel Taank said the night before about the lingerie gift. (Bravo!) People also made fun of Jessel for how rude she was when she complained about Jenna’s gift of lingerie.
It wasn’t pleasant. Jessel seems to be able to admit that something wasn’t very nice… but that doesn’t seem to stop her. She thinks that the best way to avoid being rude is to say nothing at all. At least, that’s what she makes me think.
As the Housewives toasted each other over a delicious sushi dinner (oh my gosh, I want sushi now), they started talking about personal things.
“She doesn’t like to see who she’s screwing, but she wants everyone to see her ass,” Ubah joked. “This is very Brynn.”
Sai and Brynn did talk about how they had both grown up poor. They’ve been through a lot.
