We’re only a few weeks away from Jill Duggar’s first memoir.
Even though Jill seems very excited to tell the world her story, we’re sure she’s also very worried about how her family will react to the project.
Jill hasn’t talked to her parents in years, and she probably doesn’t worry about what they think of her life on a daily basis.
But now she has to deal with the fact that she might have to fight Jim Bob and Michelle in public.

Also, she doesn’t know how her 18 brothers and sisters will react to the book.
She probably doesn’t care what her oldest brother has to say:
Josh Duggar is in federal prison for 151 months for child pornography, so nobody should care what he says about anything.
But what about the other Duggar children?

We don’t know how Jill will react when she gets pushed back, and she probably doesn’t know either.
But in the meantime, she subtly tells everyone that her fight for freedom has been well worth it, no matter what happens next.

Jill has posted more Instagram posts than usual in the last few weeks.
Some posts have pictures or videos of Jill working in her garden.
And since it’s August in Arkansas, she usually wears shorts and t-shirts while she prunes, weeds, and picks.

And if you’ve been following the Duggar family for a long time, you probably already know why that’s a big deal.
Jim Bob and Michelle used the Duggar dress code as one of many ways to control and oppress their daughters.
By rejecting it so boldly, Jill shows that she’s a free woman who won’t let her toxic parents or the cult-like beliefs she was raised with control her.
.

Fans have noticed and praised Jill, even if they do so in sometimes strange ways.
For example, the UK tabloid The Sun published the photo above with a headline saying that Jill was wearing a “low-cut” top.
There’s a big difference between a v-neck t-shirt for gardening and a blouse with cleavage for going out, but hey, at least they both had good coverage.
Jill’s early life was ruled by strict rules that had no other purpose than to make sure she obeyed and was submissive.

She has been speaking out against this kind of authoritarianism in the time leading up to the release of her memoir.
“We lost the right to choose what jobs we could take and even where we could live,” she told People magazine.
“For the first few years of our marriage, we spent time and money trying to find opportunities, only to be told, ‘Well, you can’t do that,'” her husband, Derick Dillard, said.

Jill and Derick are no longer running into dead ends.
The brave couple seems to have nothing but green lights in front of them these days.
And the fans couldn’t be happier!
