There is a lot of stress in the royal family right now.
Even though there is usually a lot of tension between the dysfunctional Windsor family members, things have been even worse than usual in 2023.
The year got off to a rough start when Harry’s memoir came out, and things have only gotten worse since then.
The Sussexes and the rest of the royal family are trading insults these days, and it seems like each side’s goal is to make the other side look the most foolish while keeping their own shame to a minimum.

King Charles really hurt Harry and Meghan when he kicked them out of Frogmore Cottage earlier this month. Many people saw this as an attempt to make them look bad in public.
The Sussexes haven’t said anything about whether or not they plan to go to Charles’ coronation in May because they think it’s silly.
Harry and Meghan have been asked to come, but they haven’t said whether or not they’ll go yet.

Now, it seems that Charles’ campaign to become the pettiest king in England’s history is continuing this week amid Harry’s surprise visit to London.
According to a new report from UK newspaper The Telegraph, Charles will not be spending any time with Harry during his son’s current trip to the UK.
Reps for Charles have reportedly informed Harry that the king is too “busy” for even a short visit.

Charles isn’t the only one with a full week coming up. However, Harry seemed willing to make time for a father-son tea, but the king hasn’t been as flexible.
Before this afternoon, nobody knew why Harry was going to London.
Harry and Elton John showed up out of the blue at London’s High Court earlier today.

Along with Elton and five other people, the Duke of Sussex is suing the publisher of the tabloid Daily Mail. He says that the tabloid violated his privacy by tapping his phone calls and doing other things that were not allowed by law.
Of course, the court case is now full of irony, since the tabloids that Harry is trying to get rid of are sure to make hay out of his father’s latest act of hostility.
In an interview with Anderson Cooper in January, Harry confirmed that he doesn’t talk to his father or brother anymore.

It seems the Duke of Sussex was hoping to bury the hatchet on this trip but was rather brutally rebuffed.
Will this latest blow affect Harry and Meghan’s decision to attend the coronation?
Or did they already privately reply in the negative, and this was Charles’ way of telling them how he feels?
Either way, it now seems extremely unlikely that the American royals will be on hand for the king’s big day.
