According to James’ manager, Peter DeLorme… After a brief illness, James died on Saturday in a Los Angeles hospital.
It appears to be a sudden health problem, as James was just around 3 weeks ago in the United Kingdom for a convention.
Last month, James attended the “For The Love of Horror” conference in Manchester, England, and according to the event’s organizers, he “was an absolute pleasure to work with and share some wonderful stories with everyone over the weekend.”
James, a professional stunt performer, doubled for Nick Castle’s portrayal of Michael Myers in 1978’s “Halloween,” including the famous scene at the carnival.
