Tammy Slaton said goodbye to her husband this past Sunday, as had been said before.
The 1000-Lb Sisters cast member laid Caleb Willingham to rest at a funeral near her home in Kentucky. This was about a month after his tragic death.
Willingham passed away on June 30. He was 40 years old.
No one knows what caused the death.
This publication got a picture of Slaton going to sit with her husband’s friends and family. She is wearing a black dress for the event and holding a bouquet of flowers.
Tammy has spoken out several times in the weeks since Willingham’s death.
For example, she posted a sad meme soon after hearing about his death. It said:
“Even though we don’t always talk. Just because you don’t live close. I think about you all day long. I’m happy to call you a friend.”
She didn’t say why, but she did have to fight back tears to tell fans:
“Yes, we had problems, but I loved that man, and I still do… ”
I miss him a lot… Thank you to everyone who replied. I’m grateful, I really am.”
In the wake of this tragedy, Slaton also talked to People.
Last month, the TLC star told this outlet, “He was my best friend and I loved him very much.”
“When I met Caleb, he became my guardian angel, and now he really is looking out for me.
“Our families are sorry for what happened and appreciate everyone’s support. At this time, we ask that you respect our privacy.”
In 2022, Slaton and Willingham met at the Gibsonburg, Ohio, Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center.
Willingham was there to treat his obesity, but Slaton was there to lose weight before he had bariatric surgery.
In November, they got married right outside this building.
Willingham said on an episode of 1000-Lb Sisters this year, “When you love someone, you don’t let anything get in the way.”
When the news came out that Willingham had died, TLC put out a statement saying:
“It makes us very sad to hear that Caleb Willingham has died. Our thoughts are with Tammy, his family, and friends during this hard time.”
Slaton recently told his fans that this reality show will start airing new episodes on December 12.
