Today, Bachelor Nation heard some sad and shocking news:
Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick are going in different directions.
They started going out in 2019, and got engaged in May 2021.
In 2018, Tartick, who was a contestant on season 14 of “The Bachelorette,” was a guest on Bristol’s podcast “Off the Vine.” Who was the Season 11 Bachelorette who said yes to Shawn Booth’s offer to end her season?

Bristowe and Booth were together for three years before they broke up.
Kailtlyn and Jason wrote in a joint statement on August 6 that they had decided to end their engagement.
“We’re grateful to everyone who gave us time and space to think about this life-changing decision. There are a lot of feelings and changes to deal with.”

The reality stars then talked about what they had planned for the dogs they shared.
They wrote, “Our dogs Ramen and Pinot will continue to be cared for as brothers.”
“Even though their people aren’t together anymore, we will love and care for them together.”
The former pair went on:
“It’s very important to both of us that we stay friends. We’re glad that we can say goodbye to each other with love and respect. It’s heartbreaking and sad to say goodbye, but we’ll always care about and admire each other.

The result was:
“We can’t thank you enough for the memories we’ve made with you and for all the help you’ve given us and the boys over the years.
“We will always have that much support for each other going forward.
“We don’t know what the future will bring, so please make room in your hearts for us.”

Soon after saying that her engagement was over, Bristowe told her followers that she would be taking a break from social media.
She first posted a selfie (below) of herself without any makeup and wrote, “See you soon, bye for now.”
Kaitlyn then wrote in white text over another Instagram Story post:
“We would love it if everyone could say a prayer for both of our hearts. I’m just aware that social media can be bad, so I’m taking a break.”
Tartick, on the other hand, hasn’t said anything in public besides the message above.

She told Entertainment Tonight about Tartick’s offer two years ago:
“I couldn’t have asked for anything more. The words that came out of his mouth were so beautiful they were crazy.
“We’ve never looked at each other like that before. We were holding hands and it was very intense. I was listening to every word he said, but I passed out.”

Late in July, when Bristowe took a trip to the beach without her fiancé, she took off her engagement ring. This led to rumors that the couple had broken up.
She posted a selfie of herself crying a few days later with the words:
“Just know that most posts are about the high points. You’re not the only one having trouble.”
We wish Bristowe and Tartick all the best. We really hope that everyone is happy.
