Placerville is about to give us a warm welcome back.
On August 8, TLC showed the first trailer for Season 5 of Welcome to Plathville. It showed all the changes this once-close-knit family is going through.
For example, Kim Plath and Barry Plath have broken up, while Ethan and Olivia may be going in the same direction.
“The family is falling apart,” Ethan says in the preview, which People Magazine released on Tuesday. “It’s a big mess,” he said.

From there, we see Ethan and Olivia giving each other a sad hug as Olivia says that the Plath family has stopped talking to her since she went to Europe for her summer vacation.
Ethan also says Moriah is standing in his way.

Olivia was mean to her mother-in-law a year ago, so Moriah and her siblings put out a statement that made it clear who they were on the side of.In a July episode of Welcome to Plathville, Joshua Plath’s family and friends got together for a memorial service. Joshua died in 2008 when he was 17 months old.
The details of what happened at this emotional event were never made public, but Olivia admitted she caused a scene.
Moriah has been close to her sister-in-law for years, and she said on air that the drama had brought her to a “breaking point.” She also said:
“I’ve had enough. I’m so done with it. I’m just tired of relationships that aren’t stable.”

Micah is having trouble getting used to the fact that his parents are splitting up while he is on his own in California. In the video, he tells his mother: “I’m still angry about the whole divorce.”
He tells his mom, “I always thought you and Dad were perfect together.”
Micah says later that he doesn’t want to “keep walking on eggshells around everyone” while all the drama is going on.

In other parts of the trailer, Olivia gets back in touch with her sister, and Kim tells the mysterious man that he makes her feel “warm and fuzzy.”
As for Moriah, she has a big tattoo that says “REBEL” across her arm.
But at the end, the footage returns to Olivia and Ethan and hints that their marriage may be on the verge of breaking up.
“I come back, and she’s gone,” he says as he picks up what looks like a letter. “I just can’t take any more of this nonsense.”

At the very end of the trailer, Olivia, you can hear Ethan crying a lot.The fifth season of Welcome to Plathville starts on TLC on Tuesday, September 5 at 10 p.m. and 9 p.m.
