Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict are divorcing after fourteen years of marriage.
The actor, well known for her role as Tia Landry in the television series “Sister, Sister,” announced their split in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
“I’ve always been open and honest with my fans, and today is no exception.” “I wanted to let you know that Cory and I have chosen to part ways,” Mowry wrote. “These decisions are never easy and never without sadness.” We will preserve our friendship while co-parenting our lovely children. I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and want to thank my friends, family, and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter moving forward in our lives.”
Mowry filed for divorce on Oct. 3 owing to irreconcilable differences, according to court documents acquired by TODAY. Mowry is requesting shared legal and physical custody of her two children, Cree Taylor Hardrict, 11, and Cairo Tiahna Hardrict, 4.
Mowry told TODAY last year about her and Hardrict’s journey to having their daughter Cairo. Mowry was having difficulty conceiving around the time she was diagnosed with endometriosis.
